Maldon Flaky Sea Salt | French Brie | Castelvetrano Olives
The fondue is what most people reserve the table for. You choose the chocolate first: República del Cacao 70% dark from Ecuador for $4 more, or Callebaut milk or white from Belgium. The First Date Fondue for Two is $31 and arrives with strawberries, banana, candied orange, French Brie, Castelvetrano olives, piment d'Espelette and Maldon flaky sea salt, which is a longer list than most people expect when they hear the word fondue. Prosecco alongside it is $14 per person.
The Rosé Fondue for Two is $29 and takes a different turn, with organic rose buds, Sicilian pistachios and candied oranges on the board. Sparkling rosé is the recommended pour at $15 per person.
For something plated, the Chocolate Cake at $14 comes with melted dark chocolate over it, the Coconut Flan at $14 is gluten free and finished with caramel, the Affogato at $12 is vanilla gelato under freshly brewed espresso with Kahlúa or Frangelico for $5 more, and the Olive Oil Gelato at $11 arrives with hot honey and Maldon sea salt.
Then there are the chocolates themselves. Five Jacques Torres pieces are $15, including Golden Espresso and Bin 27 Ruby Port. Five of our homemade ones are $17, with white framboise, milk salted caramel and dark pistachio among them. Three M. Jardine vegan chocolates are $14 in raw pistachio, rosemary and Italian salted lemon, because good chocolate should be available to everyone at the table.
Life is short. Order the chocolate fondue.
