As Head Sommelier at Ayza Wine & Chocolate Bar, Michael Scott shapes a dynamic wine list that champions New York’s local wineries alongside a broad and unique selection from around the world. A Certified Specialist in Wine, he turns each service and private tasting into an educational moment, focusing on sharing vineyard stories, demystifying pairings, and inspiring guest curiosity.
Lea Faith Williams
Wine Consultant
Lea Faith Williams is a sommelier and wine educator based in NYC. Lea got her start in wine at Ayza in 2010. After studying wine, Lea added her touch to the wine list, assisted with menu pairings and staff training before leaving in 2013 to focus solely on sharing her love and knowledge of wine with wine lovers throughout the tristate area. Lea’s private clients include ASCAP, Microsoft, LinkedIn, Warner’s Music Group and JP Morgan Chase as well as hundreds of smaller in-home clients. Lea is currently working towards becoming a certified wine educator.
Torey Tran
Certified Sommelier | Wine and Spirits Consultant
With over 10 years in the Wine and Spirits trade, Torey Tran has developed New York’s most compelling beverage programs. Education drives his passion for wine, with certifications from both the Wine Spirits and Education Trust and The Court of Master Sommeliers. Currently, he is pursuing a B.S. in Business from CUNY SPS. Torey is a passionate leader eager to bring the culture of beverage tableside.

Since 2007, Ayza has been in the heart of Manhattan, steps from iconic sights like the Empire State Building.
We offer semi-private tastings for small groups at our restaurant, with capacity for up to 35 guests. For larger parties, we’re happy to bring the experience to your location. We can cater the same tasting packages off-site, and there is no limit on the guest count when we cater externally. If hosting at your own venue is more convenient, we’d be glad to accommodate.
