Taste the Romance: Early Valentine’s Day with Chef Jacques Torres

Back in November 2013, Chef and Chocolatier Jacques Torres conducted a rare wine and chocolate tasting at AYZA West Village. Several dozen filled up AYZA West Village and had the chocolate experience of a lifetime. You must only glance over the photos to see that it was something extraordinary.


Everyone was so blown away (even us organizers) that we had to have a sequel. So in the weeks before Valentine’s Day, AYZA will turn over our West Village location to Jacques Torres for an Early Valentine’s Day tasting on Sunday, February 2nd from 4pm to 6pm. We have the same winning formula as last time with 10 chocolate truffles and 5 glasses of wine, along with the chocolate virtuoso, Jacques Torres. Jacques Torres’ is a living legend amongst pastry chefs and has very much earned his moniker “Mr. Chocolate.” Not only does he have many of the most prestigious awards, led many of the most prestigious kitchens and deaned at the most prestigious culinary school, Jacques Torres has put NYC on the map as a chocolate-making city, With 2 chocolate factories and 5 chocolate shops around the city, Jacques Torres is quickly creating a chocolate empire out of premium truffles.

AYZA has long featured Jacques Torres chocolates on our menu, so we have been honored to have the very genius behind these decadent creations at AYZA West Village. It is perfect timing to surprise a special someone with an overwhelming, almost ecstatic, experience. We hope to see you there!
