Where Can You Experience Some of New York’s Best Wine Explorations?

Wine is all around our beautiful city and state. The only minor challenge is narrowing down some of your options. It isn’t a bad challenge, as challenges go, but if you are in a rush to complete your summer wine tour itinerary, you might consider a few of the following options to jumpstart the process:

  • The Finger Lakes Wine Festival. If you want a mid-summer caper, pack up the car and take a trek to the beautiful Finger Lakes for a mid-July weekend festival celebrating more than 80 regional wines. Indulge in fine dining, artisanal cheese tastings and many other dining delights. The festival also offers a fun variety of music, recreation, and food and wine demonstrations.

  • Bounty of the Hudson Wine and Food Festival. An 80-mile excursion outside of NYC offers a true bounty of wine and culinary treasures in Marlboro, New York during the last weekend of July. The Bounty of the Hudson at the Shawangunk Wine Trail showcases 15 top-tier wineries, local musical talent, exquisite dining, and breathtaking scenery you can experience through hikes and strolls.
  • Long Island Wine Tours and Long Island Railroad Wine Tour. A train trip via the MTA or a drive
on the Long Island Expressway will take you to the Ronkonkoma Train Station where you will begin your day-long action-packed wine exploration of three Long Island vineyards via a luxury coach. With at least two available dates each month, you can schedule this trip at your convenience. Stops at local farms gives you the chance to browse homemade pies and locally grown produce to choose what you’d like to take home.
